1. The tune’s catchy, and the guitar solo is a complete joy. Unlike many of The Beatles consciously simple or juvenile songs (”Yellow Submarine” springs to mind), “Octopus’ Garden” does not seem forced, and it’s certainly the best songRingo Starr ever wrote (although ”It Don’t Come Easy” pushes it close.

2. Growing up, I'd listened to the Red Album (known officially as The Beatles/)-my sister owned the 2-LP collection. I never understood why she never bothered to get the Blue Album, which compiles their singles from /5(1).
